Mozzarella Stuffed Marinara Meatballs

I hosted a party the other weekend, and I wanted to make something I could make the day before that was keto, delicious and great to feed a large crowd. Everyone devoured these and raved about them. This made 48 large meatballs. I'll definitely be making them again soon!


5 pounds ground beef (I used 88% lean)
1/2 cup grated parmesan
1/4 cup dried basil
1/4 cup minced onion
1 tbsp garlic salt
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
4 cups shredded mozzarella
2 cups Rao's sensitive formula marinara sauce


1) Mix together the ground beef, grated parmesan, dried basil, minced onion, garlic salt, salt and pepper.

2) Form ground beef mix into flat patties (~1/3 in thick).

3) Put about 1 tbsp mozzarella in the center of each patty and roll into balls.

4) When ready to cook, pre-heat oven to 350 degrees and cook balls until center is pink but cooked and safe to eat.

5) Before serving, cover in Rao's and remaining mozzarella cheese.

6) Bake for 5 minutes, and end with a few minutes on broil until cheese is nicely browned.
