Keto Puppy Chow

Print Friendly and PDF

If you loved puppy chow as a kid, get excited, because we now have Keto Puppy Chow! I had leftover pork rinds, and since I almost never use pork rinds and didn't want them to go bad, I had to put them to use, and out of that, Keto Puppy Chow was born.

It's only 6 ingredients too, which always simplifies things. I used Adam's peanut butter since it only has peanuts and salt as ingredients (no added sugar or other additives).

Ingredients:

5 oz crushed pork rinds
3 tbsp butter
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup Lily's dark chocolate baking chips
1 tsp vanilla
1-1.5 cups powdered Swerve

Instructions:

1) Break the pork rinds into small squares, roughly the size of Chex cereal. Place pieces in a very large bowl.

2) Melt the chocolate chips, butter, and peanut butter for 30 seconds on high. Stir, and then mircowave for another 30 seconds or until melted.

3) Stir in the vanilla.

4) Pour the chocolatey mixture over the pork rinds and gently stir until all pieces are well covered.

5) Sprinkle on the powdered Swerve as you stir. Add desired amount to taste. (Unlike traditional powdered sugar, Swerve will dissolve somewhat into the chocolate, creating a darker appearance of Keto Puppy chow compared to puppy chow.)

6) Stir in an airtight container in the fridge (or serve it at a sleepover/party and you won't have to worry about storing it!)
